About the Orchestra

The Amateur Musicians Orchestra is a community orchestra based in Burlington, Vermont. AMO's diverse members include students, retirees, and everything in between, all of whom share a common love of music. Please contact us if you are interested in joining the orchestra.

Mission Statement

The Amateur Musicians Orchestra, established in 1984, is a community orchestra based in South Burlington, VT. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for adult, non-professional musicians to read, rehearse and share their love of music with the community through two free concerts per year.

Our goal is to provide a setting for musicians to play in a friendly non-competitive ensemble without auditions and perform from original scores when feasible.
